Great news for geo domain owners that the BBC has announced that it will cut its online spending by 25%.
The BBC also said it would be closing around 200 websites.
It’s pretty extraordinary that it ran so many in the first place.
The BBC spokesman conceded that one of the benefits of the BBC’s decision is that it would be good for competition.
Nowhere is this more the case than for geo domain owners – pinned down by state spending via council websites, tourist board websites and BBC websites.
